Kaka stared at her with deep eyes, as if he had already guessed what Wushuang was about to say. He remained silent and only tightened his grip on her hand, gradually increasing the pressure until it hurt her.

Just like Wushuang's current mood.

She was waiting for him, waiting for him to give a good response.

Looking at the man she had loved almost half of her life in front of her, every feature was familiar to her. She had already engraved him into her heart, even his delicate and long eyelashes were deeply imprinted in her memory.

She would not let go!

She had thought about keeping a distance from him for the rest of her life, just quietly guarding him and being content with knowing he was alive. Yet this fleeting thought did not sit well with her; she didn't want to do that.

Why should she suffer so much Why should their love be accompanied by such torment Even if they managed to preserve their lives, what meaning would life hold without him She feared the pursuit of those past dozen years.

If Kaka didn't love her, it would have been different. Since he did love her, she absolutely wouldn't let go.

"Alright!" said Kaka as he opened her palm and placed his hand in hers, "I'll follow your lead."

A light shone in Wushuang's eyes; she bit her lower lip slightly. After waiting for what felt like a lifetime, she finally heard him say the word 'good.' Kaka, Kaka, are you no longer avoiding me Are you willing now

He agreed so smoothly that she didn't know what to say, only staring blankly at him. Kaka reached out and pinched her cheeks. "Wu Shuang, Wu Shuang, do you have anything to tell me"

"Tell me you love me," Wu Shuang said as she sat up and nestled into his arms, her hands around his neck, staring at him intently. Kaka paused, then wrapped his arm around her waist, holding her securely.

Kaka smiled at her. "Don't tell me you didn't already know"

Wu Shuang tugged on the collar of his pajama shirt. "What did I know I know nothing! Do you or don't you want to say it!"

He encased her rough hands with his and tilted his head, looking at her with a teasing smile. "I love you."

Wu Shuang quietly watched him, not particularly surprised—this was something she had expected. She always thought that when Kaka said he loved her, she would be extremely happy and couldn't wait to shout it out to the world. But when he actually did say those words, she wasn't as excited as she imagined.

Perhaps she should have been more excited, but his illness dampened that feeling.

Hearing him say this was somewhat heart-wrenching.

Kaka didn’t miss her subtle expression. He chuckled softly and said, "Actually, I've told you many times before."

"That's nonsense! You never told me!" Wu Shuang laughed as she affectionately hugged him, rubbing her head against his neck. "Did you tell me in my dreams"

Kaka shook his head. "No, I've said it many times, but you just didn't hear."

"Hmph, it's the same as if I hadn't said anything," Wu Shuang said. Kaka chuckled and hugged him tighter, as though she feared she wouldn't be able to hug him enough in this lifetime. Wu Shuang squirmed in his embrace, and suddenly, Kaka steadied her waist, gritting her teeth and saying, "Are you doing this on purpose"

She smiled charmingly, her allure captivating, whispering in his ear, "I'm just testing your capabilities."

After speaking, she adjusted to an even more intimate position, cuddling closer without wanting to leave. She no longer teased Kaka, however, not daring to overstep, after all, there were limits to what she could do— he couldn't engage with her in that way.

Kaka sighed softly and hugged her tightly, suppressing his desire for her. Over the years, he had grown accustomed to repressing his desires when she was around; no matter how much he wanted her, he would manage to calm down.

But now that they were in sync emotionally, this urge seemed impossible to suppress. Sweat broke out on his forehead as a flame ignited slowly in his eyes, and the hand clamped around her waist tightened further.

Wu Shuang had been teasing him all along; over these years, she had learned how to provoke him effectively. She knew full well that he wouldn't lose control, for this person was exceptionally self-disciplined— so much so that she began to doubt whether her allure had any effect on him at all.

With his beloved in his arms but unable to take her due to caution, the feeling was utterly defeating.

Wu Shuang asked, "Can you"

Kaka's grip tightened even more; no other words could have stirred him as much. He growled from his throat and kissed her fiercely— when his beloved invited him, nothing else mattered.

Wu Shuang really wanted to be reckless and ignore his heart condition. Before, she would always act without restraint, pressing kisses upon him and forcing a reaction out of him; but now she dared not do so, fearing the worst might happen and break her heart.

The rapid thudding of her heart stifled this craving, and with both hands pressed against his chest, she wouldn't let him kiss again.

Surely, she's insane to know that he shouldn't...

This wasn't the first time they had encountered such situations. Each time, Kaka would suppress his urges, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't make him give in. He always maintained his composure and refused to cross the line.

But now, it was her who was struggling to hold back. Bai Ye told her that if his heart rate increased, he would experience excruciating pain. While enduring this agony, he also wanted her, making him feel as if he were walking between heaven and hell.

Sympathy welled up inside of her.

"Stop..." Wu Shuang pushed against his chest to avoid his kisses and pulled his hands out from under her short skirt. "Kaka, we have plenty of time. We don't need to rush."

Kaka's eyes seemed bloodshot with desire, burning red as he desperately wanted release, causing him to break into a sweat while enduring both the torment of his arousal and the pain in his heart. The suffering felt never-ending.

Wu Shuang regretted her actions; she shouldn't have teased him like that.

She tried to get off him, but Kaka held onto her waist tightly, keeping her firmly in his arms with a hoarse voice: "Don't move. Let me hold you."

Holding her like this made him feel much better.

Wu Shuang dared not move anymore, feeling deeply remorseful. Next time, she wouldn't dare provoke him like this; she couldn't bear seeing him suffer as though ten times the pain was being inflicted upon herself.

"I need to ask Uncle Bai Ye..." Kaka muttered... pajamas, and went to sleep. He greeted the leader as usual and asked if his hand was hurting. Moyao frowned, wondering if this means he managed to keep him How foolish of him! Even if he kept him arou...
